About Me…

Hi, I’m Melissa!

I’m a speech-language pathologist and Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS Cert. AVT) with a passion for helping children develop meaningful communication through everyday interactions with the people who love them most.
As a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA), communication has always been at the center of my life. Growing up in both Deaf and hearing communities shaped the way I approach my work today, with respect for each family’s values, communication goals, and unique journey.
I specialize in working with infants and young children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, as well as children with speech, language, and feeding challenges. Whether your family chooses listening and spoken language, sign language, a bilingual approach, or a combination of communication strategies, my goal is always the same: helping your child build strong language skills and meaningful connections.

My Approach

Every child learns differently, and every family deserves individualized support. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, I partner with families to create a plan that reflects their child’s strengths, hearing access, developmental needs, and family priorities.
I believe in providing families with clear, evidence-based information, coaching caregivers to build communication opportunities into everyday routines, and continually monitoring progress so we can adjust strategies as your child grows.
My goal is simple: to help every child develop the strongest possible foundation for communication, learning, and lifelong success.
